It's been an interesting week

certainly a busy one...

the kids have had activities at school all week! Wheels day yesterday proved interesting... bikes, scooters, skateboards, rollerblades... you certainly had to have your wits about you getting through the maze of bikes etc parked up waiting for their owners to retrieve them...

My good friend Tracy celebrated her birthday Tuesday... my darling husband Chris had his birthday yesterday and today our good friends and neighbours boy Max is celebrating his birthday...

I have created a few more pages just for myself... and finished up another book and sent it off for printing... going great guns... and bonus too I managed to get a Christmas pressie sorted!
Hows that for being organised... kinda scary actually but don't tell too many people I said that! hee hee...

I have a new project in mind also... so working on that... gonna take a bit of time this one since it relies on getting help from others... have to learn some patience here... and if you know me patience is NOT one of my strong points... it certainly is one of lifes virtues and I am continually amazed at people who have patience in abundance... or even slightly for that matter...

Cleaning Frenzy and New Release Friday... and a CT call...

Well it appears there is a rumour going round ... a rather funny rumour actually ... and I can't say I ever felt this way while I was but boy oh boy am I in the nesting mode now... two days down with I don't know how many more to go I am cleaning my Office... anyone who had ever seen it will know just how much of a mission that is!

I sit here looking at the semi tidy space on my floor... and am rather proud of what I have achieved already... keeping in mind all the time however that there is still a rather a lot left to do...

The good news is that I didn't get smothered by the great pile of fabric that I pulled out of it yesterday which once this room is done is going to be seriously attacked and put to good use in more constructive ways than that its currently doing

But and there is always a but I have been able to release some new items in the store... and maybe if I get a moment or two and don't get squished under another pile of whatever I will be able to sort out a little freebie for here later ... you will have to come back and visit to find that out won't you...

But onto New Release Friday... gotta love Fridays with 25% off now don't you?

And I created with it... yes I do still scrap... in fact I have been scrapping rather a lot lately... though you aren't going to find too many of them in the galleries at all... they have all been going into a book of our Italian trip last year... and I have to say I have been loving it... inspiring thats what it is... inspiring!

This one however will be going in the galleries later... it uses my new In White 2 papers, Feathers, Ribbon flowers... some gorgeous brushes and a font from Jopke Designs and some gorgeous pieces from creashens new kit... so yeah kind of a sneaky peek ...

Have a great weekend... I need to go and get the kids ready for school... Chris is off over to the West Coast today... he's off to look at a coal mine or two... and I get to tackle some more of my office!

I must be ill!

It's not spring... and I have been putting it off for quite some time now... but today I made a start on the "disaster area" called my office!

One tiny little area is now sorted... still leaving the better part of the room to go however... but baby steps will be needed for this room let me tell you...

D's teacher has scored big time with lots of crafty type bits and bobs going her way... and I can bet an equal amount will head A's teachers way too... serious sorting out time is needed... and the teachers wil no doubt benefit some more yet too...

One thing though do you know how good it feels to start one something you have been putting off for a while... I feel much better for having started it... even Chris commented on it...

Bigger score for me was I got two pages done as well... will have to wait till Friday to show them off to you though... sorry...

School Camp came... it happened... its over!

and we survived though just barely... who knew kids who had two huge long walks in one day... lots of activities to keep them on the go... lots of food... and then a game of spotlight in the dark would still be awake at 11pm!!!!!!!!!!!!

The adults were fading far faster than the kids were but finally at 11 they were all told to be quiet, lay down and go to sleep!!!!!!!

And then who knew the little darlings would be up again and wanting food by 7 am... so much for an 8.30 am breakfast time... just as well I had sneaked into the kitchen a little earlier and started things off...

Had some seriously good dad helpers at camp too... and yeah while what happens at camp stays at camp... I have to say these dads knew how to work in a kitchen... AND could and would follow instructions... too the dads at camp and you know who you are I thank you... you all made my job a lot bit easier!

I have been scrapping too... just for me mostly... creating pages for books for our Italian trip last year... its been fun too... not having to keep track of absolutely everything... not having to post them everywhere... just doing it for me and for fun...

I got a couple of the books back the other day from Arts Cow and seriously thrilled with them... Some family books too... so you could definitely colour me happy...
I will share a couple of pages with you... but no credits... no links... no nothing like that... mostly done with my designs... using other designers CU goodies and even some CU stuff of mine... so good to play with my own designs freely... it really does make me happy...

Can you tell I have been loving playing with whites and neutrals for backgrounds???? can ya? I am seriously going to have to try and play with some colours again soon... or maybe even patterned papers! shock horror even!!!!

I'm going on a school camp

this Thursday and Friday with Miss A... at the local marae and I get to be Camp Cook...

so I have been making lists and trying to keep some kind of order to them... have started getting food for the kiddos... they sure are going to be eating well... but in the mean time I am running round trying to get everything falling into line so that they can eat well...

and of course there is all the other stuff that I normally shove into a week as well... Penguins, designing, trying to create some pages for myself, baking and the usual housework... this week also has camera club stuff in too so you could say the week is really off to a busy start...

I've got some more pu/CU stuff coming out this week too... and I have even used them on a page for myself already... Yayyyyyy me... wanna sneaky peek? do you like feathers?

My daughters found these leaves for me and bought them to me especially for my scrapping... and now you can share them too... and they are new in store today at twolittlepixels...

and I have to confess that I have been so busy this week I haven't had a chance to put together a freebie... I apologise for that... but you should see the amount of cleaning I got done... planning for next weeks camp... camera club stuff ...
