Seriously good ride... a reminder, new designs and a freebie to boot

Yes I have to say it was a seriously good ride... even if I spent lots of time getting on and off the bike to open ruddy gates...

only once did I not have to... a lovely young girl who had just closed the gate and was heading back to the van she was travelling in spotted us and come back to open it for us... how cool is that...

Chris prefers the Molesworth road, however I prefer the Rainbow... for me it was a little more to look at while sitting on the back of the bike... Chris needed to concentrate on the road but I had plenty of time to look around and think and dream up all sorts of wonderful ideas... for trips we could take... for designs I could create... all sorts really...

It was fantastic just to spend some time with him... even if he tried to dump me face first into a river... we got a little close to dropping the bike in the very rocky bottom of one of the fords we were crossing so off I get to help push the bike out only for him and the bike to suddenly not be there... really close to a full on dunking on my part!


Don't fortet my whole store is on sale for the month of February and the end of the month is near... no better time than now to pick yourself up a bargain...

Its Friday again... a trip, new goodies and a freebie too!

but this Friday is a little bit different for me... Chris and I are going to go on a little bike trip together... well not so little either... most of the day for both roads...

Chris has been wanting to do the Rainbow Road since he got his new dual purpose bike... Today is it... we are leaving soon... going up the Rainbow Road and camping somewhere along the way overnight and then coming back down the Molesworth Road... Yahoooo...

we are taking the girls to school and leaving shortly after... they are going to go and stay with their Nana tonight... so a treat for them too!

I am finished... done and dusted...

yeah and that is such a great feeling... I said in my last post I had been busy working on some photo books... last night I finished off the second book of our trip to Italy...
Its certainly going to be a several chapters project... but I am good with that... I have two done and probably two more to go... maybe three...

but along with the order for those two books I also sent two more away to be done... covering 2008! 2008 is done and dusted completely... okay so I didn't add all the pages in that I did during that year... but I did add the ones I really wanted to see more frequently...

The little girl and I had a girls night in on Saturday night while Dad and big girl went camping at Lake Taylor and one of the things we did was sit down with the photo books we have here already and read through them... seriously a fun thing to do with your kiddos... it sure puts a huge smile on their little faces...

Oh and I have been busy with more designs coming out this week too... more CU goodies and a yummy (even if I do say so myself) paper pack...

And if you come back Friday you might even find yourself another little freebie... have been having fun with those... so you might just see them a little more often... So I have been busy ... and a wee freebie...

Not only with my designing things but I have also been getting pages I have scrapped into photo books...

I got a couple done at ArtsCow and quite liked them... the colour was good, the paper nice and heavy and generally well made...okay so I will admit I had a couple of hiccups with them but since it was things I boo booed with I am not complaining in the least...
Well I can now quite proudly say that I have all the pages I want to show off from 2008 in photobooks... yayyyy me... and I have the first installment of our Italian trip in one as well... even bigger yayyyy me since it was August last year we went... nothing like procrastinating a bit huh?

But I have also got some designing done... and of course you all remember I am in the designer spotlight this month over at www.twolittlepixels.com and I have a bit of a sale going on... like 30% off absolutely everything including all my new releases... which if you scroll down a bit you can see more of...

Off now to spend a little time with my hubby who doesn't work Fridays... and then the weekend with the girls.... have a great weekend...

Quite possibly the understatment of the century or at least the decade!

Did you know that even at a reasonably slow speed... if you hit the road and I am talking a sealed road here... that it really really really hurts!
How do I know this you ask...


Well for the first time ever in the history of me and motorcycles mine spat me off last Friday...
and not the graceful, leather testing slide along that you quite commonly see if you happen to watch the MotoGP or other motorcylce racing series...

More like ... mmm how can I describe it? More like a wet towel being thrown against a wall... you know that sometimes satisfying splat ... yeah well I went down like that wet towel... but do you also know something ... the whole fight or flight thing surely exists... If I had ever doubted its existance... I no longer do... I was up and off that road faster than you could possibly believe!

Injuries thankfully have been kept to a bare minimum... bruises on the whole to my body and pride... and the bike survived the incident too... much to Chris' delight...

so needless to say I haven't been doing much this week... but it has been a good time to focus on a wee project... and I can now say I have the better part of it done!
