purely and simply it was a random thought that popped through my head... as things do in my head... that screamed and kicked its way out... as they quite often do...

the end of ...

daylight savings for another year makes for very long days... its lighter early which is great for Chris... he had been having to go to work in the pitch black and now ... at least for a while its light(er) when he is making the trip to work and still lightish when he gets home...
So far the girls are doing okay with it... they only have to last till Thursday and then of course Friday is Good Friday and the start of their school holidays... two weeks of no routines... I for one am looking forward to that!
Though, I have to say since the school holidays are closing in really fast now... it does make you realise that a whole quarter of the year has gone by in what seems like the blink of an eye! Is it just me or does time in fact travel faster the older you get? It never seemed to whizz by quite so quickly when I was at school!
Oh and I have got the photos from the vintage fair off the card but you are going to have to be patient for a little longer as I am gonna have to flip a few so you aren't all looking at your screen with your head lent to one side...

By now my poor aunty who we called in to see last JULY!!!!!!!!!! school holidays will be wondering if I have forgotten to send back the very old album full of wonderful old photos of or taken by her Mother... Aunty I promise it is still safe and sound... and still being worked on... though much much closer now to being finished... you know what its like when you want to get things just right ... good things they take time... but Aunty I will leave you with a couple of pages using some of those very precious photos from the album...

First up my Dad and his brother Bryson... a whole lot younger...

And a memory of mine about my Nana...

Busy day today...

we went out at 9.30 this morning and got back at 2 this afternoon from the Vintage Machinery and Country Fair thats over the road from us at the show grounds... well Chris is still over there to tell the truth with my bike and the side car on giving rides to raise funds for the girls school...

Beautiful sunny weather means that there are lots and lots of people out to see the Traction Engines, Stationary engines and all sorts of assorted other Vintage Machinery... Heck we even had the Eiffel Tower rebuilt right here in NZ! Well it is in miniture and made of wood and packing... not something I would fancy climbing but its a great talking point for the Renault car club who put it up!

I have photos but they are still on the card ... will come back with those later...
In the mean time I thought you might like to see some more of my recent pages... how bout we start off with some featuring the love of my life...

One for the big girl...

and a couple of the little girl... Mum do you remember the "NOT happy that the elephants aren't where they should be!" from last July at the Auckland Zoo?

and her first tooth finally falls out!

so nothing for months and now look

two posts in two days... Carol I hope you didn't hurt yourself when you fell off your chair in shock!!!!

Well autumn is definitely back... we are in for another cool night tonight with a frost even... will make a really nippy trip to work for Chris tommorrow... but since its Friday (well for him anyways) I am sure he can cope!

Ooooh and guess what... talking about Chris... he a couple of weeks ago sold his little steppie he had been riding to work... slooooooow finally got the better of him and he took a few photos and posted it up on Trademe... well believe it or not the little darling sold within hours! and was picked up by its new owner the following day and then the dilemma began... okay what do I ride to work now... so the trawling started... he found another possible also on TradeMe... gotta love that site! and now he is the proud owner of...
that's right Chris is now the proud owner of his first ever Chook Chaser! I honestly can't believe that amongst all the bikes and cars he has ever owned he has never ever owned one before... its a classic too! A Suzuki SP370 and he is quite enamoured of it... though he did mutter something about changing the big wide handlebars over to clip ons... though this was before he took it down a metal road for the first time... nothing further has been said about replacing big wide handlebars!!!!
and ... I naturally had to make a page about it... see it up there in all its glory... AND its made with brand new goodies available now from Scrap Artist by the amazingly talented Lisa Whitney... who is back from hiatus... with a whole passel full of gloriousness...
