It was the day that was...

NOT going to go as planned... no matter how much I wanted it to...

Mother Nature throwing another hissy fit... this time in the form of a gale force NorWester!!!!

Now anyone who knows Canterbury and its NorWesters know that they are hot, dry and normally fairly gusty... the only difference with yesterdays was that it was gale force!

A tree hitting a 33kv power pole took out power to the village and the surrounding villages and farms for most of the day... a trampoline decided that it was a good day to learn to fly... only to stop suddenly and land rather scarily ON a car being driven at the time! Thankfully that wasn't me driving ... I'm sure the person driving also wishes it wasn't them

...

And today well the winds have died down some... thankfully... but I do have to wonder what on earth is happening with the weather... and very very grateful that my dear friend and almost sister Geyla didn't move with her family to Cairns as planned... lordy a cat 5 Tropical Cyclone ... NOT something I wanna experience EVER!

So nothing much got done yesterday... even with all the best laid plans in the world... it Mama Nature wants to throw a paddy then throw a paddy she will...

I am stoked though that in the last few days I have been able to get some scrapping done... wanna see a sneaky peek at my gorgeous, super talented and very much loved girlies...
