I think we will be having to buy

a smoker... seriously loving the yumminess that I am magically making appear from the one we borrowed...

Okay so the first nights attempt was shall we say a just saveable disaster...

one more minute and it would have had to have been tossed at the dratted magpie that has decided it really likes living at the very top of this butt ugly tree... the funny thing is if I had of thrown it at the maggie and it somehow managed to hit it... it probably wouldn't do that much damage... the damage would only have happened if it ate it and then tried to fly...

which sounds a whole lot like a cake I made a long time back... but that is a whole nother story...

tonights dinner is filled with the gorgeous aroma of cranberry smoked chicken with baby potatoes and a yummy salad filled with everything Miss D could find in the fridge...

It's been a while... seems like my days are just flying on by... if you are like me you have a daily/weekly list of things that you want to do... or need to do... and some days the list of things gets done and others well sometimes the best laid plans of mice and men don't come about...

Blogging sadly seems to be something that slips by... I am going to try a

nd do better this year though... take a look back through your blog archives one day and all of a sudden you realise there is so much that you have forgotten... fun things...

So I won't promise I will blog every day... but I will try and get back at least once a week... how does that sound?

Christmas/New years for us this year was spent with my family in Northland... was great to catch up with friends and family... though I have to say we

could have done without the humidity... talk about wear you out... guess we are just too used to the heat without the humidity to go along with it...

One of the bonuses was being able to be there for my Nana's birthday... so camera in tow I got a few photos as well... and a few photos means a page... well this one turned into a double pager which is NOT a regular thing for me... was nice... and as soon as I saw Shens gorgeous Simply Swell 1 kit well it was just simply perfect...

And speaking of scrapping this is something I want to make sure I do more of this year... I realised that I hadn't done as many as I wanted to last year... and I haven't got as many pages done yet of our trip to France... so yeah I have some catching up to do... so will have to make time to do one of things I really do enjoy doing...
